Not sure how that is amnesty, unless you mean to say that by not supporting mass deportation, he is in favor of mass legalization! Obviously, they are not the same. But more importantly, if FT or anyone frames the immigration bill as "letting lawbreakers jump the line over those who have waited their turn"..then its a no brainer who the American people will support, even most immigrants oppose the idea of folks jumping the line. But if its framed as being anti-Hispanic then it hurts the candidate among independents and Hispanics.
